What is the Tar River Cowboy Church?
Cowboy Churches are one of the fastest growing non-traditional churches in North Carolina. Our goal is to reach out to those of the cowboy culture and beyond.
Our pews are bleachers or folding chairs and our stage is made out of plywood. We are surrounded by the sounds of God's creation. The atmosphere is relaxed and the dress code is casual. Cowboy hats, boots, tennis shoes, and jeans are welcome.
Worship Includes horses, great gospel music, and simple preaching of the gospel. The fellowship may include a trail ride, hay ride, hot dog supper, or just coffee and snacks after service.
The Tar River Cowboy Church is a faith based church whose mission is to reach the cowboy culture with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to equip believers to fulfill His Great Commission.
